Venue Feature: Landmark Vineyards

Landmark Vineyards is one of my most favorite wedding venues in all of Napa or Sonoma. It’s a little hidden gem that not everyone knows about.  Known for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, they make incredible wines, but they have much more to offer than great wine.  Landmark Vineyards sits in the heart of Kenwood, right between the towns of Sonoma and Santa Rosa.  It’s at the base of Hood Mountain and the venue boasts picturesque vineyards, gardens, oak trees, a pond and views of the mountain.  What else could you want?  Landmark can host weddings of 50 guests or less, so it’s the perfect venue for those planning an intimate affair.  Very often, I get requests from couples planning a destination wedding with a smaller guest count and Landmark is always my first suggestion.  So many wineries have expansive lawns or settings to accommodate 150 guests (or more), so smaller guest counts can get lost in these settings.  Landmark is the perfect size for your intimate wedding.  They also own a lot of furniture such as barrel bars, sofas and coffee tables, umbrellas, tables and chairs, so it will also keep your rental costs down. They also have an indoor option for both ceremony and reception, which is an amazing Plan B if rain were to threaten your wedding day.  And as if this isn’t enough to catch your attention, they have a one bedroom cottage and a suite on property, so you can take care of all of your getting ready needs onsite, as well as sleep overnight at the vineyard.  It’s truly an amazing offering!  Let me take you on a tour of the property…

The Cottage & Guest Suite

Both the Cottage and the Guest Suite on property are wonderful assets.  I always suggest renting the Cottage the night before the wedding, so that you will have access to it all day on your wedding day for hair and make up.  The Cottage has a kitchen and a large living room which is the perfect place for you and your wedding party to gather, have lunch and get glammed up for the wedding.  The Suite is included in your wedding package and is an utterly romantic place to spend your first night as a married couple!

The Ceremony Lawn

The ceremony site at Landmark is stunning!  It is surrounded by vineyards, lush flowers and a stunning view of Hood Mountain.  I think the photo tells it all!

The Courtyard

The Courtyard is typically used for cocktail hour and dinner.  There are many different ways to configure it based on your guest count and preferences.  No matter what part of the Courtyard you decide to use, you will be surrounded by tons of flowers and their central fountain. Every way you turn, you will see true beauty!

The Tasting Room

In the case of rain, it’s nice to know that you have access to the Tasting Room for ceremony, dinner and dancing.  There is a beautiful back room that can be used for ceremony and/or dancing, and the tasting room is perfect for dinner and/or dancing. Either way, we will definitely use the interior spaces for your big dance party after dinner.  So many options to consider!

The Scenery

Last, but certainly not least, you will have access to this gorgeous venue for your photos.  There are SO many beautiful spots for photos. Make sure you factor in 20 – 30 minutes around sunset to wander around and capture some amazing shots of the two of you.  These will be the photos that end up in frames in all of your family’s homes for years and years to come.

Elopements

Did you know that we have an ‘a la carte’ elopement package at Landmark?  For couples looking to get married without all of the fuss, we will help you to put together an intimate ceremony and wine and cheese reception for you and a few family members.  The elopement package is geared to bride’s expecting 25 guests or less and are not looking to have a full dinner reception.
