Unique Wedding Guest Book Ideas

I rarely ever see a traditional guest book anymore.  Gone are the days of putting out a blank book for your guests to sign. These days, my couples tend to choose to something more fun and interactive for their guests.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to create long lasting memories as well as a fun activity for guests to partake in during cocktail hour.  Here are my top 5 guest books ideas that much more fun than a traditional guest book!

An Art Piece

This custom art piece was a beautiful addition to A&N’s wedding.  The bride had grown up in Montana and the groom in Israel. They now reside in California together.  I loved how they incorporated their upbringing, with their current life together in this beautiful artwork.  Guests were invited to sign this, as a keepsake for the newlyweds to hang in their new home together.

The Bucket List

The Bucket List is one of my favorite guest book ideas.  For couples who like to adventure together, this gives your guests the opportunity to share their advice on what not to miss doing together as a couple!  Take this list and try and complete it together over the years as a married couple!

The Date Jar

Similar to the Bucket List, allow guests to leave you great ideas for your special date nights!  When feeling lost of what to do together, pull out an idea and do it together!  It’s a great way to find new ways to celebrate your love for one another.

Polaroid Guest Book

This is not a new ideas, but still one of my favorites. Buy a Polaroid camera and allow guests to take a selfie and glue it into a scrapbook with a message to the newlyweds.  This is a great way to ensure that you have a photo of every guest from your wedding day!

Sign a Postcard

For those couples that love to travel, signing a vintage postcard is a great idea. Adding some vintage suitcases to collect the signed postcards is also super cute!

Sign a Wine Bottle

Being that we are in wine country, signing a large format bottle seems utterly appropriate. Display 3 bottles and tag them for your 1st, 5th and 10th wedding anniversary.  You will not only have a keepsake with notes from your guests, but something delicious to enjoy together on your milestone anniversaries.

Photo Book

For those that do like the idea of a traditional guest book, but want something more fun, why not create a photo book with your engagement photos for guests to sign?  It’s a great way to make use of those gorgeous engagement photos you have and your guests will love seeing them as they write a note to you!

I hope these unique guest books ideas inspire you to try something fun on your wedding day!
