When Melissa and Chris reached out to me to the plan their wedding at the gorgeous Montage in Healdsburg, I could not have said yes quick enough. For those of you who have not been to the Montage before, it is stunning. The way they designed this property, it really captures gorgeous views in every direction. The fact that you feel 100% immersed in nature, all while experiencing 5-star luxury, makes it one of my favorite places on earth.
Since Melissa and Chris were getting married in July, it was very important to them to keep guests cool and comfortable, all while keeping the wedding design as utterly romantic as possible. We created a stunning shade structure to shield guests from the hot summer sun, while Chris and Melissa said their “I dos” in front of a dreamy flower and fabric draped arch created by Nancy Liu Chin Designs. It was the perfect way to keep guests comfortable, while also creating a beautiful setting for their ceremony on the Oak Lawn.
Next, we invited guests to the Grove for cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed passed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the shade canopy of the trees, while they awaited the couple to finish taking photos.
After cocktail hour, the bride and groom wanted a sneak peek of their tented reception, as well as to share a private first dance. Needless to say, they were extremely happy to see all of the pretty little details come together so beautifully. And the 8′ flower chandelier created by Nancy Lui Chin was certainly a showstopper!
And then the real fun began when we let the guests join in too!
The energy was strong, and all of the guests joined in for the after-party. One of the many perks of hosting your wedding at a resort! Guest danced the night away into the wee hours of the morning.
